Washington Traffic Safety Commission

The Washington Traffic Safety Commission (WTSC) supports a network of 17 Target Zero Managers (TZMs) throughout the state. TZMs actively manage grant-funded projects such as speed reduction, pedestrian safety and High-Visibility patrols like Click It or Ticket and Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over. Each WTSC region has at least one traffic safety task force that meets quarterly to review traffic safety issues in their region and make programming decisions.

The regional Target Zero Manager leads these task forces or coalitions, which include law enforcement and other traffic safety stakeholders. WTSC builds behavioral traffic safety programs that contribute to achieving Target Zero, when each and every road user gets home safely every day. WTSC funds Target Zero Managers to guide Target Zero coalitions across the state, and King County sits within Regions 7 (North King County) and 8 (South King County).
